Indian blanket is characteristically very drought tolerant and grows well in marginally fertile soils. The dense colonies of bright red and yellow pinwheel-shaped flowers make a stunning displayed when at the peak of flowering. Indian blanket is a prolific reseeder if allowed to reach maturity.
